Post KSpeed Automotive - Tire & Alignment Service

We are now doing wheel alignment and chassis set-up! Our alignment rack is level within 1-2mm, the computerized alignment machine has been calibrated, and with Cory (aka MPREZIV) doing the adjustments, you can count on the best, most precise alignment in town, especially for racing and high-performance cars. But that does not translate to outrageous prices:

Alignment Check (no adjustments needed, see below if adjustments): $35
"2-Wheel" Alignment - rear-axle cars (aligns 4 wheels but only front adjust): $50
4-Wheel Alignment - factory suspension: $75
4-Wheel Alignment - coilovers and/or camber plates: $115
4-Wheel Alignment - ride height, end links, etc.: <to be quoted>
Tire mount & balance: $15 each or $60 for four (some extreme fitments may be more... eh-hmmm Debbie)
Recommendations/advice: free!
Corner Balancing - coming soon!

Cory will set your alignment to whatever specs you want. Some regular shops only do factory specs. He can also recommend settings (or mods) based on the car, its mods, how you drive, how you want the car to handle, tire wear, etc. Come by and talk to us and see what we can do for you.

We also service and modify all makes and models - oil changes, normal service, clutch & transmission, engine rebuilds, performance mods, even ECU tuning for some cars. Our shop rate is only $75/hr.

This is really exciting. Now I can get my car worked on by my favorite mechanic, Cory, without having to deal with Nissan. You guys will see me soon.

Why the high price for alignment with Caster/Camber plates? Mine actually make alignment easier?

In general, cars with camber plates take longer to align than those with factory adjustment. For instance, some cars do not even have a way to adjust the caster and/or camber from the factory. If your car is easy and it takes a normal amount of time then you would only be charged the normal rate. We just wanted to come up with a flat rate to put out there.

A couple other things worth mentioning...

Cory will set your alignment to whatever specs you want. Some regular shops only do factory specs. He can also recommend settings (or mods) based on the car, its mods, how you drive, how you want the car to handle, tire wear, etc.

Cory mounted some 275/30ZR20's and 315/25ZR20's on Volks today. Believe it or not, those fit under factory 370Z fenders!

$20 will cover it if they're not seriously out of balance or anything.

Looks like the DSM I bought recently ('93 AWD Talon - which I'm hoping I can take to the PDX on July 30th) wants the alignment corrected and possibly some new tires. Do you also supply tires or is it a matter of turning up with whatever the friendly folks at TireRack.com shipped to me?

Hey there Timo. I'm Cory, the shop foreman at KSpeed. Unfortunately we don't have an account at Tire Rack quite yet, (been working on it...) but we'll gladly mount them for you if you get them yourself, and we can surely take care of your alignment needs!

Give us a call at the shop any time! (775) 284-1011

Thanks again for the alignment before the North Nevada Rally!

Cory do you happen to remember if one of my rear track arms was a little bent when you did the alignment ? ( it's definitely bent now) LOL slight bend and the alignment looked fine, and drove fine Saturday..

I probably need to come back for at least a check up i know i slid the camber bolt in the front right when i nailed a berm, moved it back at service but its probably a little off now... hehe and i guess it wouldn't hurt if i replaced the bent track arm...

I don't recall noticing anything bent, save for my believing that the strut tube that we talked about is causing that camber discrepancy.

gotcha, that tube has been replaced!

And I definitely have a bent A-arm, and a rear track arm. (don't even know what i hit ) once my lazy ass replaces those .. I'll be back in for an other alignment

Just got my alignment done.....couldn't be happier. Cory got it to the exact "."
Something that has always appeared to be a huge difficulty to the previous techs. thumbs up.

Since you guys already have an alignment rack, I think you could pick up a set of the most basic Longacre scales and have everything you need for corner-weighing.

http://www.longacreracing.com/catalo...d=1261&catid=1

Only $1000 and change... probably half that if you can find a used set. Not sure how long it would take for business to pay them off though. I don't know that there are that many people who want/need corner balancing.

That said, I'm going to want to corner balance my Miata eventually, and my WRX probably should be checked since it hasn't been balanced in like 4 years.

That reminds me... got time to install some coilovers on a Miata on 4/19 or 4/20? Or at least do an alignment? My new suspension should be here on the 17th or so.

KSpeed has standing permission from the board to use the Club's scales... if anybody can retrive them.
