Default Which Class for my Z06

I've ran a few events the last couple of years in the Novice class. This year I was smart and planned our lake trips around the Solo schedule so hopefully I can make more events this year. My car is a 2001 Corvette Z06 that is stock with Nitto tires with a treadwear rating of 100. So which class should I run in?

Thanks,
Chuck

Although nobody can tell you where it goes except for yourself and your own interpretation of the rules......
the 2001-2004 z06 falls into SSR(super street R) it is on page 183 of the rule book if you want to take a gander

Josh is right, according to the SCCA rule set only the driver can officially class his/her car (probably to keep people from telling a certain car that might be faster than their's that the car should be in another class so they won't have the competition), although gathering advise is certainly allowable. If you put your car in the wrong class there will be plenty of people to inform you of that, too. As we all did when we started, it's a good idea to read, and re-read the Solo Rulebook, before buying some class letters.

Josh, if it's super stock, but the treadwear is at 100, wouldn't that be to soft to be considered a "street tire." Is that where the "R" comes from? Signifiying he's on "race tires"
