Default June 29-30, PDX/Time Trials round 5 plus ADS/CRX now open!

PDX/Time Trials event 5 plus an Alternative Driverís School and inaugural Club Race Experience will be held at Reno Fernley on June 29-30, 2013.

This event will use the lower horsepower course "HP" unless track pavement maintenance requires a change
.

Alternative Driver School limited to students that have prior experience in track events or club racing. Students must obtain an SCCA Club Racing Novice Permit and attend a ground school prior to this weekend. Contact Dave Deborde, d_deborde@charter.net or (775) 450-1394 for specific procedures. Full Club Racing driver safety equipment is required including an approved head and neck restraint device.

Club Race Experience is an opportunity to get on track and participate in wheel to wheel racing in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. Cars should meet SCCA Improved Touring, B-Spec, Spec Miata or SRF specifications and driver safety equipment. Head and Neck restraint devices are highly recommended but not required. Again, contact Dave Deborde, d_deborde@charter.net or (775) 450-1394 for additional requirements or if your race car exceeds these classifications. CRX drivers will be required to participate in either Club Trials or Track Trials for observation before being allowed in the race. CT or TT entry is included in the entry fee. A transponder is required for the CRX and CT/TT sessions.
Hope to see everyone at the track for this event.

So, when registering for the next CT event, do we select single day ($150) or both days ($200)? I saw in another thread that this event was Saturday only yet people who have already registered selected both days.

Thanks

2 days, $200. Last year was 3 sessions 25 minutes in lieu of 4/20min. 5 minutes shy for the day. The last session each day was for the race

After reading the description, does this mean that people without track experience are not welcome to drive in the event?
Maybe the ADS/CRX is in addition to the normal PDX? I was really hoping to come out to this event but have zero track experience, only book knowledge

The Alternate Driver School and Club Race Experience are in addition to the normal PDX,Club Trials and Track Trials.

You are more than welcome to participate in the PDX. PDX,CT and TT are offered for either Saturday or Sunday or Both days. There will be three 25 minute on track sessions each day plus classroom sessions and an in car Instructor. Cost is $150 for one day or $200 for both days.

It is very much appreciated if you register online well in advance of the event so that we can plan Instructors etc. Register online at www.renoscca.motorsportreg.com . You may pay online or at the event with credit card, cash or check.

We hope to see you at RFR.

PDX. CT and TT are either Sat or Sun for $150 or both days for $200.
You can also enter the CRX for $250 which includes two CRX race and two days of Club Trials. That is, provided your car is caged and you have an SA helmet and an approved drivers suit. Take a look at the CRX Rules in the documents section .

Thanks to Dave, the Board, and the members who have worked to set up this next event weekend. What I see on the schedule, this could be the most exciting and fun filled weekend of the season.
Now let's get some more folks to sign up!!!!
