Default Need2Speed Indoor Cart Racing in Reno - Let's Race!

Indoor cart racing, stay in shape in the off season and have fun.

Here's the link: http://www.n2sreno.com/karts/

I'm up for some friendly competitive lapping, who else?

If by some rare chance you have never driven an indoor cart, it is a freaking insane blast. You will be panting like a dog after a good session, and after two, you'll be feeling like you fought a bear. It's good stuff.

If your helmet is a DOT or Snell 2000 you can use it instead of theirs (according to their web site).

I went today to check it out, it was great.

Me and my wife went. It's fun.
As for the helmet, it has to be full face with a clear visor as well.

If people are interested in attending an SCCA event at Need 2 Speed, I can look into it. It would be fun to get us all out there, perhaps set up some bracket racing...Track vs AutoX?

I was in Sac this weekend and did the K1 Karts there, man that was so much fun.

I'd be up for an SCCA event.

See attached for registration options. At this point in time, I can't physically do a Practice/Quali/Main but can do a Quali/Main just fine! Give me a few weeks and I can do the three-pack :-)

Heck yeah - Auto-x vs trackers! Love it!

How about doing it on a weekend? Form a list of participants below, then pick a date. Or vise versa. It would be great if an email blast could be sent out to all the local SCCA guys. The place has a "party room" or folks could hang out in the front which is spacious.

For me it would pretty much have to be on a weekend - wouldn't be able to make it work otherwise, coming up to Reno after work during the week just doesn't work well for me.

Sounds good guys, I'll call today and see what kind of event pricing we can get going. I definitely think we should hold it over a weekend, perhaps a month from now so we can rally up everyone.

I plan to be there either Sat or Sun if anyone wants to meet up, any time is fine with me. I bought a "VIP Membership" and can reserve a "race" a any time, but if you don't have one, their wait times can be multiple hours so bear that in mind.

The only problem is the cost. Its $2 less to go karting then it is to go autocrossing. Still its better than nothing, specially during the winter!

Sounds great to me, because I don't have to do the registration and timing myself!

I did this a couple of weeks ago and it was a blast! I would be up for the practice/qual/main.

Me too John.
I haven't tried it yet, but want to.

A practice/qualiy/main would be $60 a person, minimum of 8 needed:

for $18 though you get 10-15 minutes I think it was. For $25 autocrossing you get like 5 minutes driving time and four hours standing time. I'd take the 10-15 minutes lol

Also the misfire joke was well played haha

You get 14 laps. 25 seconds a lap (if you're fat like me), probably about the same seat time And its only 18 if you buy the membership, $23 if you don't.
