Default Just got my Regional License!

Been moaning about it for years, finally upgraded the daily and am ready for some Stock Solo! I've raced simulation online even before they made gaming wheels, all my net-friends have had some sort of history or another in real racing, and it's high time for me, right?!

2010 Lancer Ralliart SST - Check
Current Regional SCCA Card - Check
sa2005 Helmet - Hope tracking is correct and it's in my hands tomorrow.

Welcome to the club. So do you know what class your car would run in?

Good question. I sure would appreciate some competition in ESP and I do seem to remember that some of the non-Evo X lancers are getting turbos and maybe even AWD?

Regardless, mod that **** up.

It's a Ralliart. Going for ES. I will be running her bone, friggen, stock aside from an alignment I hope to get later next week. Yes, tires too! ..this round.

"A detuned and cheaper version of the Evo X was announced at the 2008 Detroit auto show. This model became available for purchase in the United States in October, 2008. 177 kW (237 hp), 343 Nm (253 lbft) of torque.

For 2009, the Ralliart is available exclusively with the TC-SST transmission,[26] although Mitsubishi has suggested the possibility of a 5-speed transmission at a later date. The TC-SST transmission equipped in the Ralliart offers 2 modes (Normal, Sport) rather than the 3 modes the same transmission offers in the Lancer Evolution X MR (Normal, Sport, S-Sport). The car also includes a simplified version of the Evolution X's AWD system (taken directly from the EVO IX), with a simple "mechanical limited slip" rear differential.

Would it be in ESP if you modified it for Street Prepared?

My first weekend was a success for me. I learned a lot, and am very impressed with the family feeling you get from everyone. I am so hooked now. I have a few key areas to focus on, and even though the car is pushy, I think I will go with the front ARB (anti roll bar) and light alignment tweaks first. I have tires in mind, but not sure how quickly those will come in. I wouldn't mind learning how to 'drive' first.

The car was a champ. I was faster letting it shift than using Semi-Auto. In sport mode, it would blip and time the down shifts perfectly. Issue was, I would go into 3rd at the wrong moments right before off-throttle for a corner setup, grabbing the gas and having nothing there to try and steer the car with. Bit me a few times on the down hill at the start on Sunday's layout. It's there though. Need, More, Seat, Time.

SP sounds fun Cody, but after looking at the current sheets, not sure E would be it. Either D or E. The Evo is BSP.

Oh.. and any recommendations to get these black-orange scuff marks off my white car?!

Windex plus light scrubbing will take cone marks right off.

It's been a while since I've had a car that I wanted to 'shine'. How do clay bars fair these days?

I use TurtleWax Tar and Bug Remover for cone marks. Gets all but the toughest marks left on the edges of the bumper. I'll have to try Windex.

Glad you had such a good time, Garth!

A good clay bar can work miracles- though you have a fairly new white car, so I'm not sure how bad it really can be yet.
