I would like to give a big thank you to Kevin McDaniel & Cory Davis, event chairs, for a great weekend of racing! They recovered quickly when they arrived early Sunday morning and found all traces of the course markings erased by the rain storm Saturday night. With a lot of help the course was ready by the 9 AM drivers meeting. Great job!

Great job guys. Today was really one of the better days this season, seemed like a lot more grip than we've been getting (probably due to the cooler temps) the course was fast and flowed great, and the weather was interesting, but actually pretty comfortable - in the afternoon especially. On to RFR!

The courses really were well done guys, great work. Having the rain wash everything away is a big Pain, but you guys rallied and pulled off a great event. I just wish I could figure out that Sunday course, man I sucked it up.
Wes, I was talking to Kevin about this for a bit, but do you think there would be any benefit in asking the new airport director if there is any way we can leave the course (or part of the course) set overnight Friday and Saturday nights of stead events? Couldn't hurt to ask right? Even if we could just leave key cones it would help in cases like Sunday. Just a thought.

Big thanks to everyone who helped us put on the event- Wes and Tom for coming out to set up on Friday (and Saturday, and Sunday!) and to the many people who pitched in for setup and teardown on event days, and to all the volunteers who worked multiple work shifts above and beyond the requirements even for RNP sessions who enabled us to keep the event alive. We worked very hard on making the course flow the way we wanted and to make the Saturday slaloms truly optional, and aside from the terrible finish on Sunday I think we succeeded. It was very, very satisfying to be on the grid Saturday and to have EVERY conversation around me center on finding the line and sorting out the slaloms. As I remarked to several people, you know you did good when people tell you they love the course even when they're hitting cones or can't get a time they think they could reach.
Things worked out okay, but I sure hope that next time I chair everything will be easier. Between the Saturday night storm that washed away the course, to the near-miss on lightning, to the airport informing us just as we were packing up that they had to shut us down to land fire aircraft in our area, there wasn't much more we could have had thrown at us and still made the event work.
Matt, you were not the only one!
Great job on two great courses. Thanks Kevin and Cory!

Left then right right? or right then left right? wrong? :(
in true rally fashion i blame my Navigator for my horrible performance Saturday.. omfg what do these pedals do? what's this big wheel in front of my chest? what does it do? car seems to go left if i turn it left... how strange!
Awesome course guys, Just wish my driving could have matched the course hehehe
Luckily i remembered how to drive a lil bit for Sunday hehe Hopefully i don't have an other severe memory lapse this season ...
