Race track in Thailand

I had a chance to go see my cousin race 6 hour endurance. Here are some of the pictures. He end up finish 5th but later move up to 3rd after 3rd and 4th get DQ from under weight flywheel. There are 3 drivers per car for maximum of 40 min each session. He drove Honda Jazz (Fit in US).

Yes, very cool! Great to see the sport catching on in unexpected places, and exciting to see any kind of "grassroots" enduro racing. IMO, it's the most fun type of racing there is. Thanks for posting, Nat. How many cars were in the race? Any idea of what it cost to enter?

I can see at least 2 spots where the run off would be into oncoming cars :eek:

Nat. How many cars were in the race? Any idea of what it cost to enter?

There is only 1 class 1500/1600 cc. Lots of Honda Jazz (Fit in US) and Honda City. 17 cars was enter the race and after 3.5 hrs I saw 1st car out of the race because of tranny. At the end 14 cars finished the race 2 was DQ due to under weight.

It cost about $500 per team to enter the race with 3 drivers.
$2400 for 1st
$1500 for 2nd
$900 for 3rd
$600 for 4th
$300 for 5th

Sounds almost exactly like LeMons, only with nice cars and reasonable field size!
