Information below is from an SCCA National Office email. I hope to attend Nats again this year, and wishing others in our region can experience this event. The best way I can describe it: Autocross Immersion. You can spend 24/7 seeing, hearing, touching, thinking, feeling, smelling all things autocross. You will be a co-competitor with the nation's fastest autox drivers (some who also compete in higher level racing circuits). You will see the nation's fastest autox class prepared cars, experience some of the best surface conditions in the country, and be among 1,200 competitors sharing this experience with family, guests, press, SCCA staff, and some of the most intense autox-oriented people around. For me, Nats has been the funnest, most exhilarating, most frustrating, most exhausting, most rewarding vacation I have ever had. This year, Nats returns to Lincoln Airpark in Lincoln, NE, a really great town with great hospitality.
Entry fee: if a driver did not compete in a national tour or divisional event, they pay a $188 waiver fee. Upcoming events to avoid this fee: SF Region divisional event July 24/25 at Golden Gate Fields (also Reno Solo Events #10/11 at Stead this weekend); SoCal Region Divisional on June 26/27 at El Toro, concrete site similar to Lincoln; and Northwest Region National Tour on August 7/8 at Packwood Washington, one of the most scenic sites I have ever run at.
