odd it really felt like 74 to me.

Funniest moment of the weekend jerry Olofson stuffing himself into my 510 and then showing why he might want to stick to driving an automatic (note to Jerry that pedal on the left is called a clutch)

^I thought to myself, if anyone can get that little car sideways, it's gotta be Jerry! :P

I missed his run, but noticed your car never came back to grid. Did he break it? :(

I think we're re-entering a period where 6-7 runs become the norm again.

I don't know how we're going to manage when we have an events at RFR, especially when we use the front part...it was impossible to cover a workstation effectively that covered a good 1/4 mile of the front straight...

No cone penalties on the front straight... you just have to stop, get out, and set the cone back up before finishing your run.

It will be tough at RFR unless we get a bunch of people to show up. The one last year that I ran, we had to cut the group running in half and send the drivers out to work stations, then bring them in and let them do their runs while the other half went out to work.

We're definitely going to have to plan on running 3 run groups, and possibly only 2 for the RFR August event if we use the lower course. If we're only getting 75 drivers at Stead, we can't count on more than 45-50 for RFR.

We are planning to have both of the events at RFR on the upper course.

What about the MSA area? Is that large enough to use? I don't think it used to be, but it looked freshly repaved as of June 5. Did it get any bigger?

back to 6 runs, alright, now we just need to go back to a 9:00 am drivers meeting instead of the 8:45

7 runs? WOW holy seat time bat man .... do it ! :)

Would it make sense to have two run groups and take 3 runs (maybe more depending on penalties:rolleyes:), break for lunch and then have a repeat for the pm. Lots of seat time...

Nah. That forces everyone to be there for the entire day.

It would make it so we have to be there all day, but i really like the idea.

esp if the turn out is lower it would make a lot of sense, if we do 3 run groups 1 group will get stuck there all day too

ABC

A runs B works
B runs C works (A can't leave)
C runs A works

though A could get to leave early sunday :)

i like the idea of getting morning runs and afternoon runs :) (might not be a bad idea for stead right now hehe)

Isn't that the recommended action for RFR events? I am biased because I am there all day anyway. If it is a fun course people probably wont mind. I think more of the die hards show up for RFR events anyway because its "so far". Its only like a 20 minute drive though.

Anything other than 4 groups forces you to be there all day.

Actually, in the past, haven't we told people to plan to be there all day since the run groups were subject to change?

Very good point. the "extra" drive makes it so we get a smaller turn out, and those that turn up are more "die hard" and and i would expect the same turn out if you have to be there All Day.

We are really comparing All day (with more complete coverage of worker stations) versus 2/3's of a day (with the chance we don't really have enough workers)

and 1/3 of the people each day would have to stay the entire day anyways..

I'm also willing to bet ($5) that Kevin.M will come out if the event is 2 run groups "all day"

Personally i plan to camp at lake lahontan Due to RFR being a wee bit away from tahoe...

+1 for All day !
