I figured I should stop before I thread jacked the topic of the Reno Regions rallycross car.
Here is a link for our next rallycross. It is at Prairie City OHV park east of Sacramento on Highway 50.

Just so everyone knows, prarie city will be a lot like a Squaw autocross, elevation changes, uneven surfaces, off cambers. :)
In General its a similar level of wear and tear as autocross, Except for your paint which will be subjected to a spray of dust, dirt, and gravel by your drive wheels. (maybe its no different than stead now?) Mud flaps greatly reduce that, and some racers user blue tape, or magnetic strips to prevent any paint damage.
My STI has been Rally Crossed no less than a dozen times, and it stills works just fine. Besides some paint chips I have yet to damage my sti @ rally cross. Debeading your tires does happen a bit in rallyX, almost always if you ask the driver what their tire pressure is at, they don't know. don't be that person, check it, and set it between 40 psi and the MAX listed on your sidewalls
you will be using more suspension travel than AutoX, it will be similar to the Squaw site, for those of you who ran there. Someone had coil bind @ Squaw so if your suspension doesn't have much travel , you'll be risking coil bind / bottoming out. Anyone on a stock suspension (or stockish travel) should be safe from that happening.

You have an odd definition of your car "working just fine" Alex. That said I doubt rallycross has contributed greatly to the problems you've made us aware of.

Very good post Kevin. Are you free this weekend to come down? Or is your 3 for autocross only, lowered, stiff suspension? Scott's planning to come down, woohoo. Alex beat me the last time he ran his STi, so it's good he's running his 1.8 NA car, I can beat that one.

Can't rallycross the 3. :( It's bone stock but it's black, it's on RE01Rs, and it's my wife's and she said no way.

Sorry to hear, but stock trim is a plus, but the other 3 minuses carry more weight.
Oh well, beat on the club car when it's ready.

Whenever I get my autocross car ready, I'll try to get it out in the dirt. It's on tarmac coilovers, but I figure it will be worth getting it dirty at least once or twice.
