Six time grad here. The trick is to get one that lets you go as fast as you can (I speed read) and doesn't make you stare at the same page for 5 mins at a time.

Skyhorse:

Bummer on the ticket...were you point man coming over the hill/around the curve/past the entrance ramp? Just got back from a 2200 mile tour of northern AZ in the Altima Coupe with the spouse and managed to stay within 10mph of the limit except for an occassional blast when line of sight was multiple miles.

Not so lucky in '08 when we first got the car and were en route to our ancestral home in PA and flying low through eastern NV on the alleged "lonliest road". Got nailed at 92 by a State Trooper with rolling radar (he was a dot on the horizon 5 miles off and too late when I wised up). Fortunately my subsequent speech about his time being better spent "chasing real criminals" and a few choice comments about his lineage persuaded him to drop the speed to 80 in a 65 (as I recall). I especially enjoyed the lecture about the dangers of "open range" cattle...this is on a clear day, unlimited visibility and flat to all horizons. In fact, only three cars went by in 20 minutes.

Anyway, you have probably resolved your situation by now but here's how I dealt with traffic school. My nephew had bailed out of a PCT hike (he got to Bishop till illness called off the festivities) and was waiting for his Mom to drive from Kansas to pick him up. Since he had time on his hands (and needed to work off room and board) he volunteered to do my on line traffic school. Just like my recent OSHA 10 on line class, the price was reasonable, but speed reading is of no benefit since the lessons are timed and refresh on a timed basis that makes you crawl through the process. Also the system times out if you don't demonstrate periodic activity.

Saved major $ and although the episode did go on my NV record, no points were assigned. Found out about the NV record part from one of Carson City's finest when I got a warning for 35 in a 25.

Best wishes and better luck going forward. What's the Basset's name?
