As most of you know Reno region will be having a booth at the motorsports & recreation expo March 12-14 we are looking for volunteers to help set up, tear down and man the booth. We could also use some visual media i.e. in car video, digital pictures of cars and past events etc. and possibly a small flat screen to play them on. thanks Scott Knauf

I can help setup and man the booth. Just need to know the schedule. I also have a home made in car Video at Fernley. Nothing near professional but if you don't have any video and need some.

The 2010 Motorsports Expo starts Tomorrow at Noon! Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Some of the booths will have exhibits for water sports, snow sports, snowmobiles, ski boats, motorhomes, ATV's, RV's, race cars, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, kayaks, rock crawlers, dune buggies, motorbikes and jeeps - a little something for most every motorsports person I know.

This is also a great opportunity for our Club to share information about SCCA and what we do. If you know someone who has an interest in motorsports, send them our way, Friday through Sunday.

Friday mid-afternoon was pretty slow, but the Rockstar girl provided a couple of memorable moments. (Think, "cigars, cigarettes", except with Rockstar samples, hot pants and a bikini-type top.)

Saturday seemed much busier at the expo.

I wish I brought a better camera, but here is a phone-camera pic of Helen and Leon at our booth.

Sunday afternoon is like a ghost town. Most of the people walking around is either work at another booth or friend & family of the booth.

The show seemed to have less attendance than in past years however our booth did get a fair amount of attention. The photos for kids in Tupper Robinson's Bandini Formula Jr. and Paul Gilbert's Turner were a hit with over 200 photos distributed. Of course we included info on the SCCA and the Reno Region with each photo.

It could have been better but we did get a fair amount of exposure. A special thanks to the folks that displayed their cars and to the members that helped setup, take down and staff the booth. And of course a big Thank You to Al and Shirley Lockett for providing us with the space.
