I can’t handle this weather anymore so I am running away to phoenix this weekend to ride in a national vintage motocross. I will be riding my trusty blue 1970 American eagle (Sprite if you are British). The frame was built by a guy in his shed somewhere around Sheephead shire England .they came as a kit with the Kawasaki greenstreak 238 motor in one box and the frame and bits in another that way they could label them as tractor parts and avoid tariffs. The silver bike is my 1972 Yamaha 650 twin (aka the evil twin)

Awesome. My first dirt bike was a 1976 Honda Elsinore 250M. Scared the piss out of me.

Good luck Scott, I'll be thinking fast 'Sprite' thoughts for you, for the weekend.
(The story about the Sprite reminds me of 'The World's Fastest Indian'.)

Good Luck, Scott.
If there'e any parts/sales vendors there, pick up some business cards for me (if they have them).

I didn't know you had the 650, I've ridden one like that.

There are 2 classes of motorcycles- "you're an idiot for riding that" and "well, I guess it's more fun than just shooting yourself."
