Turning onto Lakeside last night on the way to the SCCA meeting, All of a sudden had a massive exhaust leak on my A4. No loss of power, but up front and very loud.
Got home and the downpipe appears to have just fallen out of the flange on the turbo. About 1/4" of clean pipe is exposed and just hanging down a 1/2" below the flange. Luckily there are head shields all around the area, so no obvious damage.
I'll look closer today. I hope it will just pop back in so it can be tacked and then removed and welded up. It doesn't look like there were any external welds, so it was either a press fit or internally welded.
Anybody have a welder and want to help?
