Job Description
QuinStreet is adding a website editor to its Finance category. Responsibilities include managing the day to day content strategy for a portfolio of Web sites; championing new content initiatives and editorial calendars for each site; acting as the site spokesperson and participating in on and offline media public relations; building and developing content syndication partnerships with leading media outlets; and collaborating with site producers, PR coordinators, designers, writers, and developers to redesign and improve existing site structure. Appointment at associate, manager or senior manager level will depend on qualifications and experience.

Are you driven by the big picture but have an eye for detail and enough hands-on experience to take an idea from conception through execution? Does the thought of participating in all aspects of Web site development including content, consumer surveys, email newsletters, and public relations excite you? Are you a business innovator with superior research, data analysis, writing and editing skills? Do you mentally reorganize published content and data so it is more accessible and useful for users? Could you conceptualize Web sites and content intended to inspire users to participate, collaborate, and take action online?

The ideal person will have business expertise, preferably in the finance sector, demonstrated spokesperson experience, Web content management ability, proven research capabilities, superior data organization and manipulation skills, and a talent for writing and editing. It is possible that he or she has worked as a Web entrepreneur, a business manager, financial advisor, analyst, or management consultant. Ideally, he or she will have created (conceptually or actually) interactive Web 2.0 sites employing search engine and social media optimization tactics.

The successful applicant will report to the Director, Finance category. This position may require some travel.
