Does this mean we can have the paddock in the actual paddock and a roomy grid? Excellent Pat, very excited...

Pat:

In your announcement you said:

"This will be a great way to have all your friends & family come out and watch ..."

OK, so what's the good news:lol:?

All seriousness aside, looking forward to another great course design!

Also, take a moment to cruise on over to the Pictures section...I posted a link to the photos son Matt took on Sunday, 8/23 at RFR.

Cheers

Hello, I was turned on to these events by a member of the track staff at one of the recent drag race events at RFR. I thick it could be alot of fun and its more geared toward my car than the drag strip.

I was interested in going to the Sept 19th event. Do you need anything special (club license or such)? I see the meeting is at 8:45, do you need to tech before hand? If so what is a good arrival time? Sorry for all the questions. Hope to see you at the track.

If you arrive by 8 AM, you should have enough time to register, go through tech, and walk the course, but of course earlier is always better.

Thanks for the answers. One more question and I will try to stop hi-jacking your thread. As I am new to this, is there a place you would recommend for a cheap helmet?

Summit racing in Sparks, $100 gets you a gforce open face. You can get a club loaner for free.

Any motorcycle shop, make sure you LOOK inside the helmet for SNELL 00 or higher.

Thanks guys. I think I might just go with the loaner this weekend. Then I will have more time to look for on that I like. See you at the track.:)

Got mine $50 on Ebay from a place in Roseville cuz my $700 full face motorcycle helmet was rated in the EU and couldn't be used.

Results? We want results... :)

It is so much easier to whine about results when you no longer have anything to do with timing. :)

From what I saw Saturday, 30% of the runs were DNFs.

Yea, I would like to see the results too. See how badly I did against some of the other novices out there.
