I'm looking at ESP.

Or, if I don't get my tires mounted in time, I'll be back in TESP.

TFSP in my 1993 Impreza wagon, with basically a complete and total 2000 OBS transplant. And primer black fender. It's getting pretty close to the extent of the rules of SP in the next week. I'll be posting a detailed project threads in a week or two, you'll all see it. :)

I'm showing up... but probably not for the whole season. Just when I can use the autox events for trials testing.

4 naturally aspirated cylinders of T-Street Mod. FURY!!!

...as always. Done a bit more suspension tweaking, and as soon as I get my money situated, (prolly not by the first event :( ) I'll have WAY more brakes than that car will EVER need. this pleases me.

It used to be known as OSP, if that helps Jim. From what I recall, it's pretty much "run what you brung" as long as it started as an SP-legal production car.

This is from the 2007 sups:

3.2. Street Unlimited (SU) Class

3.2.1.Street Unlimited Purpose

The regional SU Class is available for streetable cars prepared above and beyond the Street Modified rules.

3.2.2. Street Unlimited Eligibility

SU cars must be in a street legal configuration and registerable. The engine may have any modifications that do not make it illegal for the street. Emission control equipment may be deactivated or removed. The engine may be of a different manufacture than the chassis. Suspension, chassis bracing and weight reduction are unrestricted as long as streetability is maintained. The car may be trailered to an event but must, in good faith, be licensed and capable of being driven on the street.

3.2.3. Safety Inspection

SU vehicles must pass the standard Solo safety inspection process.

3.2.4. Tires

The prevailing street prepared rules for tires will be used for the SU class, or an SU car may run in the indexed street tire class using the prevailing street tire tread wear specifications.

3.2.5. PAX

A PAX/RTP factor will be assigned to the class using the logic that the car has the capability of being faster than ASP and SM2 but due to equipment requirements to maintain street legality, it may not be as fast as cars prepared to the fullest extent in the prepared or modified classes. Just as the national PAX/RTP for all car classes are adjusted each year based upon actual results, so may the SU PAX/RTP be adjusted, currently the SU PAX is defined as .002 over the current SM2 PAX factor.

That part is a bit puzzling. Didn't the SCCA throw up their arms with SP classes and say they didn't care about emissions at all anymore, and admitted they are basically race cars?

I will be in TSM but not very competitive this year. Car needs a lot. Probably just do half the season.

That part doesn't make sense to me from the get-go... In this state at least, removal or deactivation of emission equipment *technically* makes it illegal for street use...

I'll be in AS for my stock car.

Rookie Year in F125 with rain tires getting mounted for event #1. Man, it is a hand full in the dry. Don't ever really want to run it in the rain but a point or two is a point or two. It's a Track Magic Diablo with a stock 125cc Honda. The dry tire I've picked will be the Vega Yellows.

Put it this way... you can do anything short of running a jet thrust engine or um... nuclear power... which would probably be illegal on the street in addition to not being smog legal.

The big difference is that SM doesn't allow subframe connectors across the chassis, suspension pickup point changes, or engine swaps of different brands. SU allows those. So basically, it's SM for cars that have those last few things done to them that are SM illegal but don't actually make the car un-streetable.

Yeah, I got that part, in that it's the "just past SM" class, but I was just pointing out the contradiction in wording, which tends to *seem* RAMPANT when I'm reading thru the rules...

Clean up gokart after driving in rain suck big time. Not like you can take it to the car wash. Thinking about lube all moving parts alone just make me scare.

Still want me to bring a suit?
