Have an 08 vette I plan to Time Trial. Want to be classed correctly so I can monitor personal driver improvment throughout the season.
1. Is there a way to view 2007 results in order to view where my car should be classed?
2. TT-4? My archaic, push-rod, 2-valve, 3500 lb (w/ driver) 6.2L car qualifies according to the helpful hints calculator on the main Reno SCCA page. Just doesn't seem fair and I certainly refuse to sandbag.

I believe Corvettes are all in TT-2 actually, and weights are without driver.
Edit: I take it back- weights are including driver, and the extra weight you carry gives you a displacement reduction for classing. I hope like hell I keep the weight in my future project Subaru too high for TT-4 now.

I am thinbking your'e gonna be TT-1. Mr Majors drives his Blue 03 z06 there, but it sounds like with a stock vetter your'e gonna be in TT-2. For a accurate response get in touch with Dave Deborde, he'll get you into the right class. TT-4 is probably wrong, I run a Mustang in TT-3 so you r'e gonna be above me.

First off, if you're in a stock Vette, you'll likely want to run in a Showroom Stock class. You'll get killed in TT Production. Even with 400+ hp and all the great running gear the Vette comes with from the factory these days, you'll be up against cars with more power, more brakes, more suspension, and most importantly more tires.
Second, I'm surprised that the '08 weighs so much! I was expecting to see them in the 3200 lb range with driver. If you do in fact end up weighing in at 3500 lbs, then TT-4 is the correct class according to the numbers. (!)
However, as was mentioned, the intent was that the Vettes were TT-2 cars. As the stewards reserve the right to re-class cars as necessary, I would expect to see the '08 Vette indexed in TT-2 until the classing rules can be adjusted to make more sense (this is only the 3rd season we've tried them, so they're quite the work-in-progress).
If your '08 weighs in at 3200 lbs, it is in fact a TT-2 car as expected.

Thanks all. I can't see running TT4 even if the rules technically classify the car there. TT2 it is. My prior Cobra was TT2.
I'll get the car on the official scale soon, but according to Chevrolet spec..indeed a stock C6 is heavy at 3217 coupe. Fuel plus myself I'm guessing 3500.

If that's indeed the case, we'll likely have to revisit the modifiers for 2009!
According to our reg's a 6.2 lt car w/ 1 cam/2 valve, non vvt, norm asp weighing 3500lbs, w/driver would be a tt4 class car. Bring it on! Do you have a roll bar?
