As soon as I get a working car, a race license, a free weekend, and figure out how to convince my GF to let me road race, I'll be there to mix it up with you in ITE. ;)

It's been 8 months and the car just started for the first time last week. So that wasn't easy.
I need to go to a race school which is both time consuming and expensive, then run my rookie races to get a license. That's not easy either.
Between work, autocross, time trials, and trying to keep my GF from leaving me, I can't even think of the next "free" weekend I have until next November.
And convincing my GF that racing door to door is a good idea definitively the hardest of the 4. ;)
Which 3 of 4 did you think were easy!?

Dropping autocross and time trials would go a long way towards a door-to-door time budget...

Does GF have a job? If so, make GF Wife, combine incomes, then you can afford almost anything. (Didn't work for me, but hey, you never know.)

make GF wife, have 5 kids, get 2nd job, quit 2nd job sell some your stocks (ie: retirement fund), get one of her/your relatives involved in racing (she has to like them) and then go have fun. Worked for me.....:D Really this is what I did, no joke. It took ten years but here I am, I'll be club racing next year in ITE and I will still do TT here in Reno.

edit: It actually only took 8 years....

Just dump the girlfriend. If she wont now she will never understand. You will also have more money to spend on racing single.
