Reno Time Trials - Track Records

We need to develop a record of track records for Club Races. There are provisions in the AMB Orbits 4 software to track these and keep an ongoing record. I am thinking it would be nice to do the same for Club Trials and Track Trials but we will need to keepo records for each Course Configuration.

It should not be to hard to go back thru previous results and compile a list of records but if we go on to long it may become difficult to find the early results.

The question is, would the TT and CT competitors be interested in Track Records. If we decide to do this, we can issue a Track Record Certificate and note it on the results.

In Club Racing it is a "Big Deal" for many drivers to hold the track record. Do you think we would find similar response from our competitors?

I'm all for it... mostly because I think I've still got the track record for the NORPAC Divisional course layout. :lol:

Well, the car is running again, but it needs to be tuned. I just haven't had the time to get down to the Bay or Sacramentor for dyno tuning, nor have I been able to justify making it a priority financially considering how the economy is going, the house I bought last year, and all the layoffs at IGT lately.

So, it's just kind of a tough year motorsports-wise. I'm really looking forward to 24hrs of Lemons, and hoping to get tuned up and out for a PDX before the end of the season. But I just can't see spending the cash right now on race tires and fuel (and risk breaking my car competing) like I used to. :(

I still plan to record track records for CT and TT on each course configuration but it may be a while before it gets done. Need to get the July event planned and sanctioned then hopefully will find a few hours to work on track records. I think it makes sense to use the times from the results and not use practice and qualifying. It that OK with everyone?
