I ran ironman PDX and CT was a great time. Thanks for the oil Scott. I got so much seat time and my turbo got so hot the solder on some wire connections I had made to the temp sensor melted and the brake master cylinder resevior plastic melted making the drive home with e-brake only interesting. Couldn't of had better weather. Thanks to connerworkers and organizers for a great day

Holy crap! So what's the fix for "I melted my brake master cylinder?" No hood?

Ceramic thermal coating on the turbo and plenty of heat shielding & reflective tape?

They make thermal bags and other easily installed generic turbo heat insulators/reflectors that might be a quick easy fix.

from watching how hard Ed was on the brakes i think it melted from the inside

I only locked them up once. Didn't think anyone noticed. I found a new resevior and I am going to use a radiant heat blanket or tape over it. That, i think is like a band aid, and the real fix will be to completely cover the turbo in a stainless steel heat sheild and keep my heat blankets for good measure. There is just so much damn heat comming off that turbo. I have used the thermal bags and heat wraps over the turbo in the past, but they just ended up burning, and the fiberglass mateirial detetirated fast. It just became a brittle shell, like glass, that fell off in chunks around the turbine scroll. I didn't at first notice the problem of having no more brake fluid on track. It was only after the car cooled down in the pits and due to thermal expansion did the fluid finally retreat from the piston inside the master cylinder. I don't think anyone could have predicted this one.

When do the CT and TT results get posted on the race portion of the website?
