Yoddle.

I was Thinking about the upcoming autoX event got me thinking about last year.

Last year had me thinking about that GT-R that showed up last year, and that he ran in AS (which didn't seem like the right classing to me, considering it has 150% of the HP of an STI, same weight, and improved drive train )

so i did me some googling and found this for 09 :
http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_Rules/2009_Stock_Category_Classifications_By_Manufacture r.pdf

its not eligible in any stock class. But i also couldn't find where its classed in the main 09 rule book. straight to ASP like a lotus or something? or did they not make/sell 1,000 units in the prior year 2009 making it a car that isn't techincally allowed to compete for points?

Eric ran ASP, not AS. That's where the car belongs.

Yeah, we actually were reading FasTracks on his iPhone trying to find the right classing. Eventually we found the FasTrack (May 08 IIRC) that classed the GTR. Eric ran in the right class.

Hey do you have a link to anywhere official , of where its classed? i looked on the scca site for 2009 classing and couldn't find it. its listed in stock as not eligable . couldn't find it under street prepared , tried both GT-R and GTR and nissan in the old find feature in pdf ... ? sometimes i just can't use the find feature properly though ... :P

i'm *guessing* its probably under nissan NOC somewhere ?

here it is...at the bottom of the ASP list

+ Sports cars over 2.0L not otherwise
classified. (See Section 15.1.C for
update/backdate limitations.)

Correct.

And if you check this following PDF, it lists all Street Prepared classing by Manufacturer, you'll see it explicitly there on page 6, about 2/3 of the way down the page saying ASP.
