How do I go about getting a log book and getting it "registered with the proper people" if there is such a thing? Also, can I get "credit" in this log book for my PDX from last year?
Thanks in advance for any and all help!
We don't typicaly issue log books for PDX. Contact Dave Deborde about getting credit for last years particapation. You can find his contact info in contacts on this site.
I think he is talking about a participation log, not a vehicle log.
We can get you one at the next event you attend, just ask. We can probably do something about the last event.

I have lost three logbooks. Does it matter?

Dont worry....I can attest to your abilities:rolleyes:;)
If completed by your in-car instructor, it would allow future instructors to see your progress and possible places that still need some more focus.
Otherwise, if you go to an event other than with your local SCCA or they forget who you are. :) It gives you an "official" record of your experience and might get you into the appropriate run group with other organizations if they normally start everyone as a novice...

Exactly! Thanks, I'll inquire at my next event I attend! Is there a cost involved? I'm assuming I have to buy the "book" at least?

Dean,
Email me your address and I will send you a new participation logbook. We would like you to keep a running history of your experience. This helps our instructors at Reno and may also help you get placed in the correct group if you decide to run at another track.
Maybe we need to make a special LARGE logbook for you that isn't so easily misplaced:lol:
