Was out at Reno-Fernley Friday night to participate in the motorcycle drags and almost got run over by Pat Housel who was racing around the paddock in a golf cart and a Security shirt @25mph, yelling at people to observe the 5mph limit:lol:.
Anyway, there was a professional photographer there who was taking pics of everything in sight (ain't SD cards great?) and handing out a business card. Went to his site today...4theriders.com...and this guy does beautiful work. For all of us who have had some innocent passerby snap off a shot or two, this stuff is a wake-up call on what excellent sports photography should look like. My impression is this gentleman (Joe Salas) has a variety of services available, but it seems that he may also be simply asked to show up and start shooting. According to the site, he is compensated by providing prints and e files. Anyone looking for a really high quality picture should welcome his presence. An issue for the regular meeting?
Usual disclaimers apply, and my only contact with Salas was when he chased me down and gave me a business card.
