The September two day Time Trials extravaganza is now open for registration at www.renoscca.motorsportreg.com (http://www.renoscca.motorsportreg.com). This is round 4 & 5 of the Reno Region PDX and Time Trials Series plus the 2008 Northern Pacific Division Time Trials Championship. The event includes one or two days of PDX, Club Trials and Track Trials. Course "H" is planned for PDX and Track Trials and a variation of Course "H" ("H-CT") for Club Trials. Course "H-CT" looks to be an interesting drive. It uses most of Course "H" but will go counter course on the lower course backstraight then across to the front straight. Eight corner stations are required so we plenty of volunteers will be required. For people that want extreme track time and have a the appropriate license and a car that meets Track Trials and Club Trials requirements, an option is available to enter both Club Trials and Track Trials on both days. This option offers over five hours of track time at a very reasonable fee.

The group from Washington are expected to return again this year along with a person or two from Canada. We need a large contigent from Northern Nevada and California to give these guys and gals lots of competition.

Event information should be posted on the Reno Region website soon and online registration is available now. Please sign up early so we can plan awards and social accordingly.

Thanks for your consideration!

OK Reno Drivers, the folks from up North have us outnumbered. Three out of the five entries are from Washington and Mark McCloskey is taking advantage of the bargin rate for two days of TT and CT. He will be exhausted by Sunday eafternoon.

Loren and Richard, looks like an ITS Mazda RX7 is coming down to race with you two. Should be fun to have some competition.

Don;t forget to get signed up as soon as possible.

I checked registration to see how many PDXers there were with me and the whole list was wiped out! It just shows club and track trial participants only. Did PDX go away? If so I can do something else that weekend but I need a little lead time.

Dammit, I got a perfectly awesome picture of the dusty aftermath of yet another Russ Carpenter "off" with my Blackberry this weekend. I was going to leave it here for posterity. Then I screwed up my password last night and the BB wiped itself clean. Drat, foiled again....

That 'off' adds a whole new meaning to the term 'driving on the edge'. A couple more feet and the car would have been literally 'over the edge'.
