We still have two weekend Reno Solo events open! The June 7/8 weekend event at Stead is available as well as the July 26/27 weekend at Stead. If you have interest in chairing the event, pm me. Even better, if you've never done an event and want to learn, post a reply here and maybe we can line up an experienced chair to help you put things together. Chair duties include Friday set up and course design, Saturday and Sunday opening and closing and getting the bus to and from its storage yard. Remember...events are tough to run without an event chair so we need your help.

Thanks
Matt

Matt, I gotta confirm with John, but I think he and I are willing to take the June date.

Sorry Kevin, I can't help you at either July event.

We now need event chairs for the Hawthorne event; Mark Sipe is unable to do it. If anyone is interested please contact Matt right away because time is short. (This isn't the event for a first timer to try as it's way more complicated and difficult than a Stead event; keep that in mind.)

If you need an apprentice for that Kevin I would be glad to help. I would like to get involved with more of the club stuffs.

Thanks Van, I'll take what help I can get from you i July. If you want to be super helpful to the club, come work Registration in the mornings. We could use another person so we can seperate out the weekend membership signups from the annual members.

OKay, so All Events are now covered, for now. Jim U and Randy J stepped up BIGTIME to cover the next event, allowing Jim G and Don to handle Hawthorne. Depending on how Jim U and Randy feel, they may want to give up one of their other events later in the season, but we can decide that at a later time. Kevin, I'd suggest doing what sidework you can with coming event chairs to pick up as much info as possible and Plan on taking care of the July event.

I just want to offer my personal apology to the Reno Region and it's members for letting you all down on chairing the 2008 Hawthorne event. All excuses aside, it's just not a good time for me taking on any additional responsibilities.

We all have lives that come before autocross Mark. I doubt that anybody is sore at you, particularly people like Matt, Jim and Don. We know you give a lot to the sport and wouldn't walk away from Hawthorne without good reason.

Mark, don't worry about it no apology necessary. We have it covered and everybody understands when other things pop up. Just come out and play when you can.

It's not a problem at all Mark; real life comes first and we all understand.
