The SR swap is a go. It will be in in about 2 weeks. I'm now not sure if I can make it to the Fernley event. But I'm working on it. I just need a ride. But I'm going with a black top. Should be kick ass! My question is would anyone here in Reno have the tools to help me with the install?
I do and would love to help but I'll be in S.D.(anchorman reference) for the next few work weeks.
Always wanted to do an sr swap, did you get braydog's friends motor?

Sweet. And I ordered an SR from some company in japan. Black top. I just saw that he was selling it. I also like to do my own stuff to my car. Like I wouldn't buy a pre-modified car. But I'm sure it will all come out fine. I don't know when I could get the car to reno but I would appreciate the help very much. I'm not familiar with reno so where are you? And when would be a good time for you? Have a number I could reach you at? My cell is 530 569 0083.

I have a friend that swaps these motors left and right. he's real good, and has built the fastest 240 in town. Was talking with him last night, and if you want it done, he'll do it for 1500 for a full swap if you want. Less of a headache for you because you know those things never go right. At least they dont for me hehe.

lol. Yeah I have my worries but I don't have the money to pay. Do you think he would want to teach someone? I really like to do my own work ya know?

Man if it was me that had that swap knowledge, I'd gladly teach you. But its a time consuming process, especially the wiring, so I wouldnt even dream of asking him even help for free...sorry
We all like to do the work ourselves. Its a sense of pride and accomplishment. Please dont get me wrong, I am not saying you cannot do it, but I will advise you to get it done by somebody who has a few swaps under their belt. It is a big project.
Sorry but I won't be able to help w/ the swap for the next couple of months due to a housing "glitch".

It's all good. Well I might pay him then. But would I be able to possibly help?

I'm sure he'd welcome the help. If it was work being done on my car, I'd even insist that I help to learn. On the other thread you have about the swap I left you his phone #.
