I see a lot of miatas out here but i failed to see any 240s. I enjoy my 240 very much and i like the handling characteristics. Does anyone have any pointers on the 240 i should know?

More than I wish to find myself typing here in fact... 6 year Nissan tech. I am the store's unofficial "performance specialist" and I've about done it all involving a 240.
Any *specific* questions you have? Or, catch up with me sometime in person and feel free to pick my brain!

Cory!! My baby just got some very bad ticking! I started her up and I could instantly tell something was wrong. I couldn't tell you what part it sounds like but the ticking increases with the RPM's. It's loud and can't be good. Any ideas?

Still got the KA in there? Often when they get up in the mileage, the timing chain guides start to go... they're plastic. If the noise is up front of the engine, by the pulleys, I'd think that's the likely culprit.
Take a good listen to it, and try to give me an idea where the sound is coming from, and I can likely give you an idea what's going on...
sucks dude...

Yeah still the little KA. So I started it up and it sounds like the noise is mid engine. It's loud if that helps. Not some small annoying tick.

Well, that all depends on what's broken, and how much you're willing to put into it. Most guys I know, facing a likely internal failure on a KA, would be quick to just yard it out and slap another one in there. They're not super rare or expensive, and it's a relatively easy replacement too!
Me personally, I say it's SR time!!! ;)

I hear ya! It just depends on how big of a credit card i can get. lol. I am in the process of moving to Reno so I just quit my job and am looking for one in Reno. So we will just have to see how the cookie crumbles.
