Anyone running a 240?

240 Z-cars? There's a bunch of Z drivers around here: Dave Deborde has a pair he races, Lee Mitchell is very successful in SCCA Vintage in his, Jeff and Christa campaign a Scarab, Matt Benson's SBC powered Z is awesome... and I'm probably forgetting some people as I haven't been around the races much the past season.

But as far as 240sx's... not so much... and I'm not sure why as they're pretty decent track cars being affordable, lightweight, and RWD.

Yeah I love my sx. And i did see a yellow 240z at the last event that was very nice. Well i guess i will be one of a kind out there. lol. I also saw a sweet little 510 out there.

I tell lots of people about autocross at Stead, but most don't have the gumption to actually do it. Some say they need some kind of race car. Heck I know of a guy who came out with a Subaru Legacy Outback and he had a blast.
I would be great if you could get some of your friends to come out.

The S13, S14, S15 and that type of crew generally consist of street racers, and drifters out here. Mostly kids. Not all, but most. For the most part, you'll be one of the few out there. Do you have the SR20DET swap? I have a friend with an RB in his, that thing screams.

Well I hope i represent the 240 well. lol. I still have a good old KA. I will definitely get an SR someday. An RB would be hella raw though. lol.

I do know a guy selling an sr20det longblock, stage 4 6puck clutch, clutchmasters lightened flywheel 750cc RC injectors, crower valve springs, Ti retainers, and turbo mani (no turbo), but thats perfect. Get you a quick spooling small Garret BB for Auto X. Fresh rebuild too. All that for a grand if you're interested.
