There is a thing called a TR that came out in 06. It lost a few of the creature comforts for a slightly cheaper ride.
There were no extra badges to differentiate it from a normal WRX.
The salvage site, refers to a wr but as far as i can tell there is no such thing. They have just droped the x.
They list turbo cars that are insurance sales for about 50% of the private sellers price. Some have no damage but are recovered stolen so they go on salvage title.
Any one know any more about this?
This is the link to the web site.

Unless you're going to trailer it to an event, I'd check with your insurance company first. Most will without a problem, but there are a select few insurance companies out there that will not insure a vehicle with a salvaged title.

it would be a nice engine swap for your legacy, If that is a wrx and not an rs?

The major companies (I cna personally vouch for Allstate) will insure a salvage-titled car if it's been properly repaired. Other companies may refuse to put comprehensive on the car and possibly collision, but none of htem will refuse liability.
