I wish I could take in car vids...would definately help me improve my game. No vids of "engineering hot sex." That's just gross....and in some cases faster isn't better ;)

ROFL why'd you have to remind me of that??? I had gone a full 24 hours without reading that post, and was finally getting over it. Now I had to go read it again, and like clockwork, started cracking up.

Oh, and at least in car terms, faster may not be better, but its always so much more fun.

Scott,
I forgot about some of these pictures. Fun to look again. There's one of the 2004 SECCS day at RFR, where a bunch of Subarus are getting gas at a Chevron station (was that in Reno, or Fernley?), $2.17/$2.27/$2.37 - and that was probably on the high side then!

WOW Never seen so many Scooby Doo's congregated at one place at the same time. My little chihuahua would have a field day, since i've taught him how to pee on subaru's tires :D

That would take a dog much larger than my Chihuahua to piss on at least 1 tire of every scooby there. :D

Wow awesome pic though

Well, it's not exactly an SCCA event. In fact, it's not exactly even real ... but I thought some people might get a kick out of the iRacing.com Star Mazda race I ran online at Sebring last night. We had a full field of 20 cars, and I went from 17th to 4th overall.

The video is from mid-race when I lost a couple of spots.

The iracing video is Cool! Did you lose position because of riding too long on the berms or because of the excursion in the grass?

I'm going to have to looking into iracing.com.

I had to lift just before corner exit since I was too hot into the corner... as it was, I ended up running wide into the grass, but at least I didn't go flying off into the lawn completely.

And that's the longest straight, so scrubbing exit speed just kills your chances of fending off someone behind you. Even with all the wings dialed down on the car relative to everyone else.

iRacing is awesome, but it's not cheap (you need a decent PC, a good steering wheel controller, and it's a subscription service, not just a one-time purchase). And you have to make a bit of an effort at it, just like real racing, to be competitive and have fun.
