Hello,

My company needs a Senior Manager/ Web Content Director. If you or someone smart like you has the qualifications and interest please shoot me an email. Yes, you'd be my boss so if you can't stomach that then just don't bother :) Here's the important stuff:

Job Description
QuinStreet is adding a Sr. Manager or Director of Web Content to its Editorial Division. Responsibilities include managing editorial personnel, creating corporate level documents and presentations, providing strategic guidance for Web initiatives, budget planning, and overseeing diverse administrative functions to keep content flowing through the production pipeline. Employment at sr. manager or director level will depend on qualifications and experience.

Are you driven by the big picture but have an eye for detail and enough hands-on experience to take an idea from conception through execution? Perhaps you are an entrepreneurial business manager with superior writing and editing skills. Would you like to use your talents more creatively? Do you mentally reorganize published content and data so it is more accessible and useful for users? Could you conceptualize Web sites and content intended to inspire users to participate, collaborate, and share their experiences online?

The ideal person will have business experience, proven research capabilities, demonstrated writing and editing abilities, and online content management skills. It is possible that he or she worked as an academic researcher or administrator, business manager, division head, analyst, or management consultant. Ideally, he or she will have created (conceptually or actually) interactive Web 2.0 sites employing search engine and social media optimization tactics.

The successful applicant will report to the Vice President, Content & Compliance. This position may require some travel.

Job Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree minimum. Master’s and/or PhD preferred
· At least 5 years of relevant employment, ideally with considerable experience of online content and Internet best practices
· Experience of budget planning and managing personnel and resources to a budget
· More than a passing appreciation of Internet intellectual property and copyright law (although expert knowledge is not required)
· Proven research, writing, and editing skills (provide clippings or links to published work)
· The ability to lead by example from writing 100-word blurbs to devising a complex Web site strategy
· A good working knowledge of Excel
· An appreciation of Internet and computer technology sufficient to shape recommendations
· Expert knowledge around education, B2B sector or financial services a bonus
