+1 on the online registration. I know it's been in the works for a little while, and I for one think it'd be great!

I'm trying, but I'm not sure it will be tested and reliable before the start of the season. We'll see. I really need to chat w/ the T&S and Registration folks to find out what will be most useful for them. I think I've got an idea, but I'm not 100% sure.

Whatever axware takes as input is what I need

That's easy, but how should that data sync up with what registration needs at the reg table in the morning?

What should the process of pulling the web registration data be the night before the event?

What data does axware have to have in the file vs. what do we want in there?

What data needs to be on the reg paper?

What should the reg paper format be (will it be added to by hand at the reg table, or will the existing or some other form be used for day-of registrants)?

HOORAY for on-line registration!

Site registration requirements: Event# (quick check to make sure they're paying for the right day), Class (groups participants by class for gridding purposes?), Name, Worker position, ???

Online registration will not include paying online. At least not any time soon. It costs the region too much. Why the Nationals hasn't put together a site for all the regions to use that includes online payment is beyond me.

If they put together a national site, someone will have to support the additional load. But a great idea nonetheless.

Well, I figure they've already got a pro website, and they've already got the ability to process credit cards... 2+2=4, right? Instead, all the regions are futzing around trying to run their own shows with MyAutoEvents and crappy websites built by volunteers in their spare time.

Then again, I'd almost rather run our own registration site 'cause then I know for sure it works the way we want it to work.

Maybe once you build one that works, you can just sell it to the SCCA for everyone else to use. ;)

Only if I don't have to support it.
