Okay so Im having trouble with finding which class i will be running in this year for AutoX. My Dad and I are going to be driving a 1973 Porsche 914 (4 Cyclinder). As i was looking through the rule book I thought we would fit into into DP, our car meets all the requirements for DP except that our engine is stroked and in the rules its states that no stroke is allowed. So where do i go now, do i go into a Modified Class or XP im not sure? When i looking through the Modified classes is wasnt really sure how they worked.

Thats what I figured but I'm not worried about it I just cant wait to get back out there again.
If I remember right there weren't to many people who ran in XP last year.

Well Van mainly runs in SU and John was only at a couple events so it looks like its going to be a competition between my Dad and I hahaha.

With the new class reduction, all of the Prepared cars are in the same class so you may have some more competition.

Well, sort of. It's indexed so there's a huuuuge difference between, say, FP and XP, especially for underprepared cars like all of us in that class will be running.

what do you mean class reductions? i looked at the consolidation proposal thread put up Jim Gandy, so then all the prepared classes will competing against each other. if this is the case will there stilll be individual winners for each class, for example a 1st place for DP, a first place for FP. And i just looked at the solo supplemental rules and i think were just going to run in the new Vintage Class.

It always sucks when you have to drive home with the guy who beat you. :unamused:
