First, congratulations on landing an SCCA sanctioned event. Well deserved I'm sure!
I will be running in the vintage group and there was something noted in your supplemental regulations regarding "Reno Vintage Rules" How or where would I get a copy of these?

I have been running regional/vintage with SFR and while Reno's may be similiar, I would rather not presume.

Thanks!

Dave, do you have any info for Chris? Are we adopting SFR rules straight across? Where are they published (I can't find them easily on SFR's website)?

Here are the ITX rules:

And here are the ITE and SP rules.

Thanks for posting the ITX/ITE/SP Sups. However, I was hoping that someone might be able to point me to the "Reno Vintage Rules".

In your supplemental regulations, it referrences this three times. Specifically;
Section C Supplimentary Regulations-

Sub Section 1 regarding Competition Regulations: "Vintage Cars must also comply with the current year Reno Vintage Supplimentary Regulations".
Sub Section 4 regarding license types accepted. I have a current SFR Regional license and want to make sure I was good for Vintage. I have used my Regional license to run Vintage in SFR before but wanted to make sure I was ok per Reno region. And,
Sub Section 28 regarding awards and trophies. Not that I'm concerned about hardware that requires dusting but it does state "Awards and Trophies will be presented as defined in the current GCR section 3.8 and the Reno Vintage Rules items 12 & 14".When I read this, I interpret from it that the supplemental reg is referrencing a very specific document. Hope I don't sound like some obsessive-compulsive. Just want to make sure I'm good to go before coming over the hill.

Another question. Fuel/Air- I didn't see anything on the track website that specified what brand & types of fuel are available. Air available?

Thanks again.

Chris, I think you're right... there should be some Reno specific Vintage rules, or at least something that indicates we're using SFR's Vintage rules or something.

Hopefully Dave will post an answer to this, since he wrote the race supps.

Just an update; received an email from Carol Deborde. Apparently the Vintage Supps exist, they just haven't been added to the other website. Hopefully this will be done now that the omission has been identified.

See you all next month:D!

Dave got me the additional documents, they're now posted on the Race to Reno page:

http://www.renoscca.org/index.php?page=race_to_reno

This includes both the regional classes and the vintage supps.

Also, if you have any questions about the event, we will try to answer them in this thread!

I would like to compete in the VP3 class in my 79 Corvette. The problem is that I only have the full Time Trials license. I think it states that I need to finish out my full competition license.

Can I enter this race with just a TT license?

An SCCA regional, national or vintage competition license is required to run in the June Charles Schwab "Race to Reno" event. There are a number of other club licenses that are accepted as listed in the Supplementary Regulations and the Vintage Rules. Also, just announced by the SCCA Board of Directors, we will accept NASA Competition Licenses beginning immediately. Unfortunately, your Time Trials Competition license does not qualify.

Rick,

I think you have the information already but just in case:

Advance signup is NOT requied for the Friday Test day that is available to people registered in the race. 1/2 day and full day sessions are available thought the track.

Additional information is available on the Reno-Fernley Raceway website at http://www.reno-fernleyraceway.com

For the Friday test...how will the cars be sorted, groupwise? Having a Spec Racer Ford it's never clear who we'll be lumped in with.
