Minutes of Prior Meeting

Patty Evans hammered the gavel at 6:30 PM and started with self-introductions. Loren Enstad moved, Chuck Johnson seconded, and the minutes from the April 5, 2006 meeting were unanimously approved. Patty reminded all present that next month’s meeting will be on June 14th instead of the normal first Wednesday.

Treasurer’s Report

Doug Driver delivered the treasurer’s report. A copy is attached to these minutes. Doug proposed that we combine our two CDs with a little extra cash to invest in a $10,000 CD. Scott Perry moved and Lucas Kunze seconded to approve the treasurer’s report. The motion passed unanimously.

Time Trials Report

Dave DeBorde reported on the April 29th Club Trials and Track Trials event at Reno-Fernley Raceway. There were 10 Track Trials participants and 29 Club Trials participants. There were some glitches in some areas of the event; but, overall, it was a safe, enjoyable day.

The next Club Trials event is scheduled for June 10th-11th at Lovelock’s Derby Field.

We made $680 from working the Double National at Thunderhill in March.

Solo Report

Lucas Kunze previewed the upcoming Mother’s Day Solo weekend at Stead. John Riggs encouraged a Saturday night social, and a discussion ensued about who would take on the planning task.

The next event is the North-South Challenge at Hawthorne International Airport. The banquet, to be held at the convention center, will be catered by Maggie’s restaurant. Patty reviewed the board’s decision to include Las Vegas Region’s results in our annual results for PAX calculation.

Walk-On Items

Our club has been invited to participate, with a booth, at the Sports Cars and All That Jazz event in Reno on August 18th-19th. After discussing the invitation our members decided to decline any formal participation.

Carol DeBorde gave an update on membership; we currently stand at about 269 members.

John Perry added that it would be nice to have an updated directory – if anybody volunteers to take on that task.

The next general membership meeting is scheduled for June 14, 2006 at 6:30 PM at Austin’s Restaurant in Reno.

With no further business before the members, the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted by Doug Driver, Secretary.
